Brought by our Education Committee
As many of you know, Glenview Elementary is moving over to the Santa Fe school site this summer and many local families are excited to be enrolled. We’re working with the Oakland Education Fund and a team of volunteers from the Clorox Finance Department to help spruce up the site and get it ready for the start of school this fall. They’ve planned a big day of service where dozens of employees will come out to work on some exciting projects like planting plants, putting up bulletin boards, carpet cleaning, prepping the library, repairing garden boxes and murals, etc.
In order to get ready for these projects, we’re planning a community prep day on Saturday, August 6th from 9am to 1pm to ensure that the projects will go as smoothly as possible.
Can you help? Here’s what’s needed:
-rolls of painter’s tape
-plastic covers or drop cloths for painting
-large rolls/sheets of butcher paper for bulletin boards
-decorative borders for bulletin boards
-carpet cleaners (or connections to carpet cleaning companies that might be willing to donate help)
We’ll be prepping the Santa Fe school site for cleaning and painting, and need as much help as we can get on Saturday, August 6th from 9am to 1pm.
(If you can’t make it on August 6th, we could also use some help on Thursday, August 11th when the Clorox team will be out to complete all of the projects.)
