Bottom Line
Microsoft Azure AD is almost a no-brainer for anyone deploying Microsoft Azure widely. With support for on-premises integration and synchronization, it is gaining traction as an SSO solution for large or small organizations.
Product Description
Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) uses an identity as a service (IDaaS) delivery model. It includes Azure AD Connect to support on-premises directory integration and synchronization. Additionally, it includes Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) as an option to support single sign-on (SSO), but AD FS has also been widely deployed on its own for many years. Azure AD now includes reporting, security analytics and multifactor authentication, as well as user provisioning for software as a service (SaaS) apps.
